Most developers who struggle with AI-assisted development don't know where they are on this ladder. They hear about multi-agent review systems and parallel cloud execution, feel overwhelmed, and either give up or try to skip ahead. Skipping stages doesn't work because you will feel uncomfortable and distrustful of the tools. Each rung builds the mental models and habits required for the next. So slow down, figure out where you are, and focus on building from there.
